Local playwright/historian Phil Baarda has written a humorous account about the rivalry between two famous Scottish botanists, Archibald Menzies and David Douglas, both of whom collected hundreds of plants in the 18th century.

The play will be performed in the shadows of the properties magnificent Douglas Fir, which both botanists claimed to have discovered.
